Dallas Mayor Ditches Democrats, Recasts Himself as Republican

So what’s up Eric Johnson? You know it’s not like Democrat and Republican ideologies are interchangeable. You either adopt the values of one or the other, but not both.

So when did you abandon your philosophies for social equality, equal opportunity, and voting rights, and pick up the torch for laissez-faire economics, reduced government spending, privatization, and the reduction of government run welfare programs in favor of private-sector nonprofits?

In other words, exactly when did you sell your soul?

You can say to your constituents that this sort of thing happens all the time. But something isn’t right just because it happens often. Your values should remain after all else has passed. They’re not something you can just change like one changes their socks. They are either your values, or they’re not. Values do not change. People do.

Brother, the only thing that’s changed is you.
